This policy explains what information Truly Local Agent collects on this website and on Local Referral Pages, Community Pages and giveaway pages, and how it is used.
Information you give us
- Demo, access and territory requests: name, email, phone, brokerage or company, city, state, ZIP and the details you add. Used to respond to you and review your request.
- Home value requests: name, property address, email, phone and your message. Shared only with the Local Agent you contacted and Truly Local Agent so they can respond. We email that agent a notice of your request.
- Giveaway entries: described in the Giveaway Privacy Notice below.
- Agent, Team Leader and business accounts: the profile, contact and business details entered to set up campaigns, mailers and pages.
Information collected automatically
- Page and QR activity: we count visits, QR code scans and clicks on Local Referral Pages and Community Pages. Repeat visits are grouped using a code created from your connection and browser that changes daily; we do not store that code's inputs.
- Private preview access: when someone enters a private access code, we record the attempt and connection address to prevent abuse, and set a cookie that keeps them signed in for 24 hours.
- Sign-in and preferences: signed-in users' browsers store their session and dashboard layout preferences on their own device.
How long we keep information
Giveaway entries are kept for 12 months after the giveaway closes, as described below. Retention periods for other requests and account information are still being finalized; until then, you can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact below.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with the agent, Team Leader or Truly Local Agent staff who need it for the purpose described above, and with the service providers that host this website and send its emails.
Giveaway Privacy Notice
What we collect when you enter: first and last name, email, street address, city, state, ZIP code, and phone number if you choose to give it. We also record the date you entered, which Local Agent's page or QR code you came from, and your answers to the optional permission boxes.
How it is used: to run the giveaway, check eligibility, prevent duplicate entries, select a winner, contact the winner and arrange prize delivery.
Who can see it: the Local Agent or brokerage Team Leader who manages the giveaway, and Truly Local Agent staff who support the platform. Agents on a brokerage team do not see entrant details.
Not sold, not shared with businesses: your information is never sold and is not shared with the local businesses that contribute prizes.
Marketing is separate: entering does not sign you up for anything. You receive local updates only if you tick the optional updates box, which is unchecked by default.
Winner announcements: if you win, your first name and last initial are shown publicly only if you gave that permission. A winner photo is published only with your separate photo permission.
How long we keep it: entrant details are kept for 12 months after the giveaway closes, then deleted. Anonymous totals, such as the number of entries and visits, may remain.
